Klustron Physical and Logical Backup and Recovery
Klustron Physical and Logical Backup and Recovery
Klustron provides comprehensive functionality for full-cluster physical and logical data backups, as well as automatic incremental data backups. These backups, both full and incremental, can be stored with encryption. Additionally, Klustron offers recovery options that utilize full-cluster physical backup data along with incremental backup data for achieving global consistency in data recovery. It also supports logical backups at cluster, database, schema, or table levels, including both full and incremental backup data, enabling data recovery at corresponding levels.
Physical full backups and logical backups can be configured to automatically execute at specified time points through XPanel. Incremental data backups are performed continuously through streaming, eliminating the need for manual triggering. It is advisable to perform logical backups at the database, schema, or table level as a precaution before undertaking risky operations such as alter, truncate, or drop on related databases, schemas, or tables, to ensure data recovery options.
It's important to note that DBAs are responsible for manually cleaning up backup data from storage facilities such as HDFS, ZFS, and others.
